Paterson’s install three Fleetfueller pumps coated with the highest quality Zintex Steel.
Paterson’s Quarries Limited has installed three Zintex steel housed fuel pumps to help withstand the harsh Scottish winter. Located at their head office in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, this busy site dispenses upwards of 29,000 litres of diesel every week to their fleet of arcticulated, Hyab and concrete mixer vehicles that are used in the movement of aggregate material at this site.
Due to the tough site conditions, Ross Campbell, the Workshop Manager needed a particularly robust fuel pump solution to serve his fleet with consistent reliability. The Fleetfueller, with its heavy duty Zintec enclosure, was Cameron Forecourt’s answer to his needs.
Zintex Steel is a metal that has been coated with a thin layer of zinc metal, the advantage of Zintec sheet over uncoated mild steel sheet is the added corrosive resistance, the pump frame is formed and fully welded and fitted with a weather cowl and universal mounting plinth, the doors are hinged and lockable, the final coating is an Epoxy Dry Powder Paint coating which is oven baked its heavy duty internal framework ensures it stands firm against any knocks or bump’s.
Alongside the strength of this piece of kit is the peace of mind in its safety. The Fleetfueller pump comes with an ATEX certified motor, junction box, nozzle switch and encoder. The entire piece of equipment is certified to the ATEX directive and in accordance with DSEAR.
This particular pump triplex required diesel delivery speeds of 90 lpm and 70 lpm meaning together they can deliver 250 litres of diesel per minute into their varied fleet of vehicles.

Ross Campbell explained,
“It’s a very busy site as the head office for Paterson’s Quarries and our Workshop at this site with vehicles is delivering direct throughout the central belt of Scotland by our large fleet of tippers and such which simply depend on strong and reliable fuel pump depot.”

The Northern installation team at Cameron Forecourt carried out the switchover from the old pump being removed and the new trio being installed in just under week. The full scope of works included the removal and disposal of the old pump in accordance with Environment Agency legislation; the supply and installation of the new Fleetfueller 70 / 90 lpm diesel pumps and their connection to the existing fuel management system. As always the team were professional, polite and efficient, ensuring that their work did not disrupt the site’s daily routines too much.

Ross Campbell praised the installation engineers,

“The installation was simply first class.” He added, “We are all really happy with the service provided by Cameron Forecourt. From the first site visit of Martyn Gent, through to the installation and operation of the kit, we were not pressured into buying more or into buying within a set time. We will happily continue to work with Cameron Forecourt in the future.”
